replacing rear shocks absorbers

Rust has caused a leak in the rear left shock absorber on my 2007 ML350 4Matic. Would anyone have the removal and replacement procedures, including torque values? Any assistance is appreciated. The bottom fastener, a bolt with self locking nut took some persuading to loosen after12 years, but they finally released. Are they reusable, or should at least the lock nut be replaced?

Thank you
