08 ML320 CDI Air Conditioning Issue

Hey everyone! I've been searching through the previous threads, and I wanted to ask you all about this before I went ahead and spent a bunch of money.

My ML320CDI's air conditioning isn't working and the shop says we need a new compressor. Honestly, it stands to reason that the compressor could be going out. The car has 160k miles, and it's been pretty care-free driving. The technician says that the high pressure reading should be approximately 150psi but all my compressor is putting out is about 100. I know that there is a relay that people talk about failing, and on other cars magnetic clutches sometimes go out but the compressor is still good. I just thought I'd check with all of you before I replace the compressor, to see if there's anything else I should check.

Thanks in advance!!!
