2007 ml 350 auto dimming rear view
Hi I'm trying to convert my ML's rear view mirror to auto dim , I purchased a new one, #A 164 810 24 17 , it has a flat connector that has 6 wires in it, original mirror has 4 . Trying to see if I can convert ! any help would be appreciated.

What are the colors of the five wires?
Does you truck have a rain sensor?
What is your full vin# ?
Post a photo of the connector.

I believe I have found the problem.
The mirror you bought, 164 810 24 17, is the wrong application for your vehicle. Look at the option codes as it does not have code 494 which is USA Version, as opposed to the other part number with code 494.
As a matter of fact I think you can only install the inside mirror if you have dimming outside mirrors.
