Torque converter vs Control Unit
I have a ML350 2006 and the engine light came on. I took the car to my local dealer who pointed out that i had to change the control uni) (something to do with the gearbox). i gave them go ahead to change the control unit , after changing the control unit , while test driving the car they pointed out that the car was giving out a shudder. After some tests they said my torque converter has failed.
My first question is did the dealer made the wrong diagnosis in the first place. My second question, is there a relationship between the new control unit and the now failing torque converter.

Those bills don't even show the Quick Test code number/s that made them change the torque converter.
Do you live in Au? If so please UPDATE YOUR PROFILE in USER CP to include where you live.
I will not be able to respond further as I will return home at 4PM my time.
In the mean time, please explain what problem you were originally having and what did they replace?
Then what happened the second time and what do they want to replace now? I,m confused as to the following questions.............. My first question is did the dealer made the wrong diagnosis in the first place. My second question, is there a relationship between the new control unit and the now failing torque converter.

Hey there - just as a heads up, when opening the PDF on a macOS device, I am able to remove red drawn object on top of the document which reveals your person info. I would highly suggest removing the docs you uploaded and try another method to hide your personal info.

Hi. On the 13th March i took the car in for a service B and the engine light which had come on. So since the 13th March the dealer still has the car. When i took the car in on the 13th March i was told that the reason the engine light was on is because of the failing control unit which needed replacing. i gave the dealer permission to replace the control unit, and i understand the replacement has been done. Before i could get the car back, when the dealer was testing the car, in preparation of giving me the car back, after replacing the control unit they now noticed this jerk/shudder so they said they needed to carry out further tests to ascertain the cause of the jerk/shudder. After whatever tests they have carried out I am now being notified that the jerk/shudder is being caused by a failing torque converter hence i need to pay more money to replace same.
So my car had no jerk/shudder before the replacement of the control unit. What can be the cause of the jerk/shudder. Can the replacement of the control unit cause my torque converter to fail or on the 13th March the dealer's diagnosis was incorrect when they said i should change the control unit.
I went into the dealership today because i needed to confirm this jerk/shudder and drove the car for a while and i did feel the jerk/shudder when stopping and taking off.
