ML500 wiper problem!!!

2006 ml500. Wipers won't work in any position. Front and rear wipers. Wiper pumps do work though on front and back. Changed both relays. Nothing. Everything else in the vehicle is working as it should.... lost

What relays did you check and where were they located?

The 2 under the hood. And yes, the 30amp fuse was changing out as well.

No. And when I turn the rear switch wiper to on, the light on the dash lights up, but no action.

Have you checked the wipers while in the rain sensor mode?

Reconnect the rain sensor & spray water on the upper part of the windshield and take it for a short ride and see if it works.

Grab the steering column cover with both hands and try to turn it, BUT DON'T GO CRAZY doing it.

Actually, now that I think about it, when I use the column shift, the whole plastic casing does shift about a 1/2" when shifting.

You must remove the steering column module and check to see if any electrical connector is dislodged. You must have tools.

Look at this video and see if you can do it.

Do this first to see if the module cover is broken. The bolt that holds the module in place has a groove that the bolt sits in. Center the cover and with a T27 extended Torx bit, turn the bolt a bit and feel if the bolt is in the groove. Then turn the bolt a little more and feel again.
