2011 ml350 oil change

Put 8 quartz of mobil 1 synthetic motor oil after oil change last weekend. Drove it around the neighborhood and then parked in the driveway for few days. Just checked the reading on the dipstick and it is midway between minimum and maximum level after sitting the car for few days. Started the car for 5 minutes and then turned off the engine for 10 - 15 minutes. When I read the oil level again, it's now 1/8 of an inch above the minimum level. What is really the correct reading here? Do i need to add more oil and how many if I need to? Please advise.

Oil level is checked at operating temp. Shut off eng. and wait 5 mins. so the oil drains down. Then take reading and add oil if needed.
