Weird intermittent locking issues

175k 2010 ML 350 Blutec.

Occasionally when I turn off the car, but do not exit immediately, leaving the car in the acc position, wait, then remove the key and exit, the rest of my locks do not unlock.

Occasionally when I turn off the car and exit the rest of the doors dont unlock immediately, only after +/- 3 seconds do the rest unlock.

Once when they didn't unlock when I exited. It wouldn't allow me to lock the doors with the transmitter or physical key. To remedy this I reinserted the key and turned it to the on position, to the off position and removed it. Then i could lock the doors with the transmitter.

What do I need to be looking at? How can I diagnose whats wrong?

With intermittent problems like this, you must have the codes read with a scanner in the rear SAM.

Ok. I'll do a complete scan today and see what it turns up.
