If the ML350 is gasoline, that is likely the most reliable of the vehicles you listed. Avoid diesels. Avoid V8s unless you really want a more powerful engine and are willing to pay expensive repairs which may or may not be needed. Those are broad brush statements which can be confirmed by lots of research. There are always exceptions, and at the same time it is nice to know the rules.

I also have a 08 GL 320 CDI with 203k miles and still going strong.
The diesels to stay away i think is the 09 - 13 but the CDIs are bullet proof and you dont have to worry about the ad blue bullcrap.

Stay away from the ml350. They have th e balance shaft idler issues that grenade uiur engine.
V8s are pretty reliable. Stay away from 07-08 gl.

Thanks, I was going to look at a 2007 GL 450 with 113,000 miles on it for $8,000. I guess I'll pas on it. I usually do all my own work but a German engine rebuild is not for me. I guess I'll keep looking for a ML 350
