Spark Plugs Replacement

Hi,
How often are we supposed to replace spark plugs. If the tips have no visual deterioration, do you still have to replace them after certain time period?
Thanks

Now is the time to change spark plugs on my 2006 ML500. I have the removal wrench and I can get the front ones out ok. But rear ones seem tight to use the wrench. Is there some other ways to get the spark plugs out?
Thanks

If you have a swivel socket you shouldn't have a problem
