2007 ML500 loft gate clicks but won’t open
On Friday, it worked perfectly. Today, it clicks and the in a few seconds just relocks itself.
No whirring, like the pump is whack, nothing.
If I use the fob, after it clicks I can manually lift it open, but that’s it. None of the buttons will operate it, the only thing that works is the release mechanism.

what fuses can I check? Thanks!
no, there is no water damage of the pump, motor, or SAM.

If you are absolutely sure that there is no water damage, then in all probability it is the lock/unlock motor.
