Can't Control Cruise Control Over 120 KM !

Unhappy Can't Control Cruise Control Over 120 KM !
I'm driving a 2009 ML-500 and it works fine for me but something is going weird while using the cruise control feature...
whenever the speed is under 120 Km/h I can set the cruise control to the speed I like either above, below or equal to the current speed just 'til I reach the limit of 120 where the alarm of the "maximum speed reached" starts to beep... From now 'til I disable the cruise control by moving the CC stick forward or pressing the brake I won't be able to activate or control my speed unless I get back to the 120 KM/H....

You can imagine how annoying it is to drive on the high ways at the speed of 140-150 KM/H and for any reason,I have to press the brakes to get lower than 120 KM so I can re-activate the cruise control again...

I dunno what's wrong as I'm sure this is not normal... can you suggest what should I do order to solve it ?
