2225 The left fuel level sensor has a short circuit to positive

Hi there,
2225 The left fuel level sensor has a short circuit to positive
On my 2008 ML350, I have this code with MIL on. Drivability is perfect. Short circuit to positive seems very intriguing. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Did you make any repair to the fuel system?

Did you delete the code and see if the code returned?

I replaced camshaft magnets. And haven't driven since deleting the code. Nowhere to drive to!

I thought this was about a fuel issue. What would replacing the cam magnets have any effect on the fuel?

I am totally confused.

I'll take it for a ride to see if it returns and I'll report back.
