ML320CDI ABS Warning Light stays on

Folks,

Another thread from me today. Same car,my 2009 ML320CDI.
Some time ago my brake pads warning light came on, ABS/EPS disabled and the pictured symbols lit on the dash at the same time (makes sense if your brake pads are worn down and state unknown.
The car was just due for a service so I booked it in and the mechanic, a great German who specialises in MB/BMW, replaced the pads, did the service and cleared error codes.
But the ABS symbol won't clear. The mechanic said the sensor checks OK, and the 2 fuses in the engine bay fusebox look OK. He spend a while on it and suggested it was an electrical issue (and he doesnt do auto electrics). Have googled the web but nothing I have found has borne results. Any ideas please?

Did the mechanic replace the wear sensors?

Wear Sensors

He said the sensors checked out OK...... should they be replaced once they have been triggered? I did wonder at the time if perhaps they got damaged when the pads wore down for them to be reached?

Once the light comes on, the sensor/s have been compromised. They must be replaced.

With the wear sensor they become open circuit (by a wire wearing through on the disc when the pads wear) on my own car I ended up just stripping the wires and soldering them - now the light has gone off but obviously the sensor won't tell me if the pads are low but I keep an eye on them (also the discs are quite cheap if the worst happens)

Have you got any error codes?

With my car the wear sensor ONLY put the wear light on - and NOT the ABS/ESP lights but not sure if your car is same as mine - I don't see pad wear sensor on your dash lights?

really suggest you get scan codes as I have had two problems with the ABS/ESP and really only can be answered by the codes
