Bought non-running Bluetec and got it running but try to sort it out

I have a exhaust leak.
it took bypassing the swirl flips to get it started. First start was extremely smokey. I believe it is not burning all the diesel (see video 1)
Unplugged egr and it is running smoother (see third video)
Waiting on mercedes diagnostic software to troubleshoot shoot better.
Videos of it running

P0274 cylinder 5 injector circuit high
if you have any idea on what to check to fix the exhaust leaks let me know.

Thanks

Where is all that smoke coming from? If it's coming from the exhaust system, that must be addressed first.

Bluetec vehicles do not have "P" codes which means that you are using a cheap code reader. You need to invest in a scanner.

Agreed I need a scanner, I can't tell where the exhaust is coming from exactly. In the third video things have cleared up a lot but it isn't obvious still. It seem to come from the back rear corner on the passenger side. I don't see anything coming from the cat or exhaust it self.

There may be some exhaust coming from the intercooler
I plan to delete it. I believe that is all related to the emissions system.

Trying to decide if I want the icarsosft mb ii scanner or if I want the xentry bypass scanner. Are you saying that a better scanner won't show the p codes, I believe that p2005 is for the swirl flaps?

I plan to get my son to help me diagnose it I should be able to figure out where the thick smoke comes from when revving it.

Thanks
