Lowering the drivers side head rest
I raised the drivers side head rest of my 2010 ml350 simply by pulling it up to suit me and cannot get to go back down to fit my wife, the cars primary driver. It came up very easy, similar to most other non benzs I have owned over the years. It did not occur to me that it could be electric. Is it electric and if so where is the switch? Thank you for any relevant answer.

If it were electric, you would need a button to adjust it. It's typically where the other power seat buttons are. Do you have a button above the one to control the pitch/tilt of the seatback? If not, the headrest is manually adjusted like Major said. Is the button Major pointed out seemingly stuck? Try moving the headrest up/down with one hand and push the button with the other simultaneously. It might help get the headrest moving. Sometimes it takes just a little bit of persuasion.
Just as an example, I have a VW with the same buttons for the manual headrests. One of them is a pain to manipulate, but the others are mucch easier.

It turns out that the drivers is electric . There is a small rectangular button it is a narrow button on the side of the seat. Thanks for the replies.

Photo of head rest button on my 2010 ML 350 4Matic
I bought my 2010 ML 350 4Matic last Friday. This same thing happened to me on Saturday. I looked in the manual and discovered it had electric head rests. I never owned a car with electric head rests. Here's a photo of the head rest button on mine.
