ABS Bleeding Instructions?
Any instructions on how to bleed the ABS pump would be very helpful. I have a scanner that supposedly can do it, but I'm unware as to the correct method.
Many thanks

The ABS Pump (red arrow) is attached to the hydraulic unit. This pump is strictly an electrical component which pumps the fluid throughout the brake lines (green dots).
The only bleeding system is the same as it's always been. Pump the pedal, open the bleeder and so on. Pay attention to PDF on which bleeder is opened first in Right Hand Drive.

Had to do this myself not long ago, ended up just doing a pressure bleed with the right machine, ( pumping fluid into the reservoir at the right pressure and bleeding each brake nipple ), I thought I could bleed it with the Autel but could not, looked for it in the Mercedes section but it was not there, I asked a Indy how they did them and they said just to pressure bleed it.

Thank you Major. it seems I've misinterpreted the need for an ABS Brake Bleed. It did seem a bit odd to me given I'd bled the brakes and assumed that procedure would have flushed the ABS pump. So, is it safe to assume that the ABS bleeding is either not required, or only if you've had to change the pump?

Bleeding the ABS seems like a Chevy thing. Not part of the MB WIS procedures.
