They all look the same to me same ratio and same everything. the only difference i see is air vent but that i really dont care about .
I got diff from Durango with 12k miles for $200 looks the same, same ratio 3.45 i guess i will learn the hard way. The one for my car was $300 and up and all of them 80k miles and up
My diff is humming, replaced bearings it got quiet for a little but then it started again. drained oil and it was metallic looking again, im thinking its the ring-gear making the noise. That noise is driving me crazy at 45 to 50 mph.
Will update when i get it

But the humming noise still there at 45-50 mpg
so disappointing!Front wheel bearings new
Front diff 12 k miles fresh oil
Transfer case all new bearings fresh oil
Rear driveshaft new support bearing and fresh grease in the joint
Rear bearings checked sound good.
Got 3 more things left.
Front driveshaft. If the joints are too tight would it make the humming noises at certain speeds? how can front driveshaft be checked?
transmission bearings maybe? looks like a lot of them fail on 722.9 tranny but i dont know what the symptoms are for that.
Or rear differential?
This noise driving me insane, sounds like you driving a Jeep wrangler with huge tires with big threads on it but only hear it at 45-50 mpg thats what makes it weird
Any Ideas?

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
. My brand new tires that i put on not long a go got me through hell figuring out where the humming noise coming from. Would never think that new tires make a nice car drive like crap. My Ford E-250 cargo van sounds better driving inside than my 63AMG and tires make that difference. i guess you get what you pay for most of the time.My next step is to try install foam inside my tire, maybe 25mm thick glue it to the tire inside to kill that noise. Definitely not buying another brand new set of tires. i see a lot of people do it for electric cars,
i know Rolls Royce got it inside of the tire to lower the road noise. Any idea what product to use, foam, glue and how would that effect TPMS sensor.

I once had 2 Federal Super Steel 595's on my C230 and it was making a horrible racket.
Yeah, I thought my diff was done.
Fortunately mechanic took a ride with me, and immediately said, it was the tires.
I was spared a hard lesson, and also honest mechanic didn't take advantage of me.
So those Federal Super Steel 595, they last long and grip well, I really liked them in those regards,,
but they went bye bye with the wheels (sold), and I told the buyer beware of these tires.
