Hello,
My wife had her rear power liftgate struts replaced with non power struts a couple of years ago. I'm thinking of going back to the power struts. Can someone give me a compatible part number to replace both struts, also, how can I tell if the old electrics are still there to connect to? Anyone have any instructions with pictures? Thank you.

What is your vin#?

When you switched to non-power struts, did you have any bolts, etcetera, left over?

These struts do not have elec. connectors to them. It is the tailgate that controls the opening and closing.

What was your original problem?

Hi, thanks for responding, the original problem I think was that they worked intermittently or didn't open all the way. We do not have any left over parts.

You must own your own scanner to read codes in all modules. See tailgate codes PDF.

This was all due to not the latch itself but the board in the rear tailight section getting wet. I have resolved it by taking it out, cleaning it with electronic cleaner and protecting it from future rain events. Thanks all!
