Question NEW AC COMPRESSOR WON'T RUN OR TAKE REFRIGERANT!! HELP PLEASE

I install a new AC compressor. I went to add refrigerant and it would not take it and the compressor isn't running. I checked the plug and my ground in they are intact but compressor won't run so I can't get any cool or cold air. I don't know stand what could be the reason why it won't run or allow me to fill it with refrigerant. Any suggestions?? I'm grateful

The pressure difference between an empty system and the charging can should allow enough refrigerant to flow making the compressor run. However, if there are error codes, then you might need to erase them first so the compressor starts running.

Good night,

Is the model of compressor you installed specific for your car?

The car checks the compressor control solenoid valve and does not activate the compressor if it is a different model.

Thank you. Is this something I would have to go to a Mercedes dealer for? To have the codes reset? Or does the auto zone scanner that they let you use in their parking lot have that capability?

Thank you hr

TBH I don't have experience with the scanners at AutoZone. Usually any advanced generic scanner that can access HVAC modules will work.
However, I use Foxwell NT530 and it works great.
