Yeah, thanks.
I'm looking for the official instructions for my facelift model W164. None of what I've found so far seems to work.

Thanks Major!

That's as far as I've got but the cylinder refuses to budge. I wondered if there was something changed on my model.

Did you pull on the door handle? Pry it out with a plastic pry tool.

Yeah, I've tried all sorts. I think something is damaged inside the lock cylinder. As the key will only turn half way without serious wiggling and appears to do nothing when I do get it to turn.

It's hard to apply force without damaging the paint or something else.

Then remove the door lining see if you can push it out manually. The window must be fully up.

Aye, thanks again Major!

I've got it all stripped down to the metal. There's one bolt on the outside of the door, under the door handle, preventing removal of the regulator/door lock assembly.

Of course you have to remove the lock cylinder before you can remove the door handle!

I think my cylinder is snapped internally. With the mechanism stuck in the "locked" position. This is preventing the cylinder from releasing from the door lock.

There is only one bolt that has to be removed to remove the lock cylinder.

Yeah, I've removed that one but the cylinder is still tightly stuck!

Like I say "I think my cylinder is snapped internally. With the mechanism stuck in the "locked" position. This is preventing the cylinder from releasing from the door lock."

I provided the procedure and a video. Why can't you remove the lock?

Hi,

As with texterted, the first procedure does not work, there is something more tightening the cylinder.
In the other hand, I'm trying to avoid removing the door lining.

My request is addresed to know what is sticking the cylinder, aside of the well known 20-torx nut

Thanks
