2008 ML350 Belt Noise

I have this noise when the engine is cold. When I pour water on the belt, the noise goes away. Also when the engine gets warm, the noise goes away. Your insight please.

Did you inspect the belt?

To me, that noise is a bad pulley, namely #3 & #6.

When the eng. is cold, remove the belt and spin pulley #3 as fast as you can with your two fingers. If the pulley makes noise or spins very fast, then it must be replaced. Then do the same for #6.
