2010 ML350 Bluetec. with 105,000 miles.
I change my own oil, etc. with the correct spec MB-approval 229.xxx 5W/40 oil. After resetting the service reminder, and having it show 10,000 miles, give it a minute or two or another restart, and now I have 8996 miles left. Every time. Doesn't even get out of the garage.
I suck out the oil thoroughly, and the filter housing, run the engine for a couple minutes before resetting AND it does it every time. First time I changed the oil, I reset it before running it and was told that was my issue (same result).
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
I've driven these MB diesels since 1974 and this one is most bewildering one yet.
On the other hand, my cheap Chevys, seem to handle their service reminders without any manuals, secret codes, up/down, +/- signs.
But due to the timing chains wearing so fast, I change my oil at 5,000 miles after that replacement, and the oil cooler, and the AdBlue heater. And the $300/tire tires. (I'm just ignoring the steering knuckles making noise now.)
Very frustrated owner.
Thanks!
