Ticking noise coming from motor ? Ml63
I have a 2008 ml63 with about 120,000 miles on it and recently notice a ticking noise coming from the motor At idle and it increases with acceleration wondering were to begin to address this issue

This place is a joke.
Remove the valve covers and check for worn camshaft lobes. Search the forums here, lots of info about this problem. Don't wait too long, it could destroy your engine if the tappet is worn through.

What did u find was causing the ticking my cars doing same thing but only sometimes my buddy told me to try thinner oil

Its most likely your intake camshafts are bad and lifters need to be replaced. i did mine at 101k they were pretty bad. both sides left and right.
