Overheating problem, please help

Got 08 ML63 overheating. looks like fan turns on and shuts off after few seconds. Speed not very fast and it makes very light clicking noise, sounds like bearings are about to go but spins free. It does that 2 or 3 times then gets to 79c and light goes on on the dash.
I did take the fan off and replaced the 2 bearings and visually inspected, all look good i dont see anything abnormal, cleaned magnets. Didnt install it back yet. Any Ideas if its not the fan? could it be a relay? temperature sensor? or anything else i can look for? thanks for help in advance.

Is the Check Eng. Light on? Even if it's not, check for codes in the ECM module.

Scanned it today and did get a code but no check engine light. code is 0694 Engine and AC electric suction fan with integrated control output stage.
I replaced bearings and installed fan back in to the car, it still does the same thing and makes the same noise. from the code and the noise that it makes i think its the fan motor is bad.
ordered another fan today, should be here in few days.
Does the fan got relay?

There is no relay. The ECM controls the activation of the fan via fuse #7 in Fuse Box #32. I

If the fan is working but not a full revolutions, then it is not an elec. problem.

You need a new fan.

Hi got the fan today. Installed it and it works no problem. I think it went up to 105C to kick on. If im not mistaking my ML55 fan kicks on around 90C
Is that normal for ml63 for temperature to go 105C for the fan to start working?
Thank you again for your help GOD Bless!

Igor, open the hood and run the eng. at idle speed and see when the fan kicks in. Then immediately look at the Inst. Cluster and note the temp.

Then let the eng. cool down. Start the eng. and select A/C and see when the fan kicks in.

Will do it tomorrow. Did do it when i just got the fan but i turn the ac first and fan turn on after few seconds so then i shut off ac and waited for the fan to turn on idling. it did turn on at 105C thats why i asked if its normal for the fan to turn on at 105C
Been driving the car for few days no problems no messages on the dash
