M/B does not supply Retrofit/conversion instructions. The task will be monumental in cost and labor. Stick with what you have.

This place is a joke.
Most ML550's came from the factory with springs and not airmatic.

Do you have the sport/comfort suspension button on the center console? If not, your ML never had the air suspension option. You can potentially DIY your own air suspension by getting the associated air springs and using an aftermarket air controller system, but this will run you at least 5k. It also won't really improve your ride because the main benefit of the Mercedes ADS air suspension (other than load leveling) is being able to configure how soft or stiff the shocks are from the console, and an aftermarket solution will not be able to do that.

If you want a more comfortable ride while keeping the lowered look, get smaller wheels. Those 21? 22? inch wheels are the main cause of your harsh ride. Going down to 18s will be a significant improvement in ride (might be limited to 19s depending on your front brake rotor size). You can also try out different shocks to see if they improve your ride. Otherwise, you should go back to stock height with stock shocks for closer to OEM ride quality, but those wheels are still going to kill it.

Thanks guys I appreciate everyone’s help
But when I go over a dip in the road the car feels like it bottoms out a bit aside from the rough ride

Air suspension will not help with bottoming out. Stiffer shocks might at the expense of making your ride rougher. You might also have incorrect length shocks for the lowered ride, causing it to bottom out earlier than it should.
