Hi guys, I am new to the forum, with this being my first post of probably many.
I bought a 2006 ML63 yesterday and noticed two vacuum lines in my engine bay that look like they have been hit with a jigsaw or grinder!
I don't know what they are running to, but I would like to replace them with some new ones.
How can I find out what they are and what their part numbers are to order some new ones?
Sorry for the close up, these are located just behind the radiator expansion tank over the front right wheel, and they head back to the firewall area.
Thanks in advance for any clarity on what these are for.
*UPDATE* I replaced these lines with new hose, it turns out one ran to the front windscreen squirter and the other one ran to the rear glass window squirter.
Now all fixed.
Also found out that the lines were damaged from a RAT eating them! WTF??
just a note, that damage is the result of something rubbing and grinding against your hoses. i farm 800 acres in washington and grow rat food, so i have had experience . rats dont eat in straight lines or curved lines.
