New rear SAM for W164 280ML CDI Sport 2006 (REPROGRAMMING)
Hi guys,
I recently brought a new rear SAM off ebay as the main dealer didn't have any in stock and the old one is by no means repairable. I have it fitted and all is working well apart from the fuel gauge is not reading and just sits on ZERO also the trip is reading ---.
I would assume I am needing this blooming expensive box recoded to get the gauge to work. There are no issues with the fuel pumps, senders or the gauge as it still works fine one the old module.
After contacting MB services they are wanting £144+VAT for the first hour. Then went on to say provided there is nothing else wrong with the motor.. I was like no just needing the module reprogrammed nothing else. Then just said its a bit steep.
My question is does anyone know of an independent MB Star in or around Dundee Scotland. I am driving blind at the moment and don't know how long I can take without seeing how much fuel I have in the gas guzzler..
Alternative to that is there a bypass method from sender to gauge that can be done?
