Question Is it possible to apply an external power source from outside the vehicle?

So, there's an ongoing issue where the emergency key does not work in this vehicle, (ie 2006 Ml350) and
anytime the battery gets discharged, there's no way to open the vehicle.
Yeah, I asked the mechanic about it but he just kinda shrugged his shoulders, didn't
seem interested in fixing it at least not without a pile of cash.

I was thinking is there a way to applying an external power source from outside the vehicle,
just enough juice to allow the key to open the door?
Such as through the mirror assembly (not sure how that comes apart, so I'd need that too)
or through the trailer electrical hookup?
The lights were not left on, but we've had lots of rain/water related problems lately, so
apparently something drained the battery, wasn't driven for about 48 hours. But 1st need to get in the car.
Tried prying open the edge of the door with plastic wedges but not enough.
This happened before, and AAA used an inflatable dookicky to push the door open enough to get a tool
in to unlock the door.
Any suggestions to getting some juice to the system?
I have a 12V jumpstarter, so just need an in to the electrical system.

It'll be interesting see how AAA takes to get here in our new(ish) home on the coast of Oregon.
They have a saying "No hurry in Curry" Curry being Curry county Oregon. .

EDIT: Well, they showed up pronto, and used one of these...

Guess I need to invest in one.
Battery is charging.

Spray the E key with WD40, insert & remove the key numerous times and see if the key turns.

If you're locked out and the battery is flat, and the key doesn't work, you can remove the plastic cover under the engine bay and then with a spare battery and jumper leads, reach up and apply 12v to the rear terminals of the alternator. That will give you more than enough power to unlock the doors assuming your fob works. Just make sure you know where to earth it and connect to the right terminal.

This place is a joke.
This sounds like a ridiculous idea. You either have the wrong key blade or you're using it wrong. If it turns in the glovebox and rear hatch then it should work in the door, unless the door was replaced with a used part, if the car was in an accident. Is the key blade turning in the driver's door handle? If so, hold it turned and pull the door handle quickly and repeatedly a few times and it should open. If not, you can open the rear hatch with the blade. If you have the wrong blade get the correct one from the dealer. They aren't expensive.
