Turbo Actuator

Hi,

I have a 2008 ML 320 W164. There is wear on the turbo actuator worm gear and needs to be replaced. In addition one of the connections on the PCB board within the actuator has become detached.

If i get this actuator reconditioned will I need to re-calibrate to the turbo given the arm will now be in a different position?
If a buy an aftermarket actuator would this need to be re-calibrated to the turbo?
