2006 Ml500 Front Seats do not move

Issue both front seats will not operate when using the switches. This started when my rear sam got wet. At that time my fuel gage and seats stopped working. I bought a used one and it fixed the fuel gage but not the seats. If i use a light probe and touch the Blue/Red wire at the rear sam i can hear the relays click and the seats work. Any help or suggestions welcome.
i feel its a ground issue. maybe there are ground wires under the carpet that got damaged by road salt and water. i'm stuck. i have xentry but am new to it.

Check underneath both front seats. There are empty spaces where water could accumulate.

The battery compartment, front SAM, and a fusebox are beneath the passenger seat. This area is known to get leaks and accumulate water.
