There is no trunk opening switch (supposed to be in the driver side door pocket); so opening the trunk today requires me to stop the engine, remove the key and use the key to open the trunk.

Is there any other way to open the trunk/tailgate, without shutting off the engine and removing the keys?

Yes it is.. but I wanted to open the tailgate from inside.
