2007 Mercedes ML350 V6
Pulse wheel removed on right gear.
So close to reaching the top of the bolt but i hit the cam gear.
I can’t even fit a socket through it.
What i’m using.
2007 Mercedes ML350 V6. I am trying to remove the front timing case. I have removed one pulse wheel and left the timing chain on. I want to avoid having to time the engine or removing the chain. I am simply just trying to replace the timing case. In a video i saw a tech just remove the pulse wheels and remove the 4 bolts inside in the valve cover holding the case on. I can’t seem to figure out how they did it without removing the cam gears. Should i remove the cam gears by removing the 5 torx bolts? Wouldn’t that affect timing? I need to get the top bolts out to remove the timing case. I see everyone else is able to do it but i don’t know what tool they used that is so slim. I appreciate any suggestions
