Help! ML350 no start

I have a 2010 ML350 Bluetec with almost 80k miles on it. It has also had the emission control recall done a few months ago. While I have had my share of problems it has never refused to start. Ten days ago I had been on the road more than 2 hours when I stopped at a gas station for a drink (for me, not for the car). The car had behaved normally that day and showed no sign of problems. At the stop it was shut down for 8 to 10 minutes. When I tried to start it the engine cranked normally but would not start. I tried about a dozen times then waited about 15 minutes before trying it again and it still refused to start. I had it towed the hundred miles to a Mercedes dealer. I tried starting it again with no success. They were busy and didn't get to my car until 2 days later when they reported that the car started normally. They found no trouble codes in the system. They did some tests which were all negative and the car started normally every time they tried it. They let one of their techs drive it for several days to see if the problem would re-appear but it did not.

Does anybody have any experience with this? I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions since the car is useless if I can't depend on it.

P.S. I think the GPS system is in on the conspiracy - 3 of the 4 times the car has left me stranded were hundreds of miles from home. lol

I experienced a no-start issue but not similar to yours.

My experience was with faulty glow plugs plus controller. A 10minute drive to the shops and I turned off the engine cold. The ML wouldn't start at all. But the ML would start fine the next day.

Thanks for your response. My dealer is making an educated guess that the problem is the low pressure (in tank) fuel pump. It's been replaced, let's see how long it lasts!
