Smile 2011 Ml 350 (om642) bluetec upper oil pan removal

Hi everyone, i am trying to remove the upper oil pan on my ml bluetec 2011 om642 while the engine and trans is still in the car. I have successfully removed all the bolts that keep the upper oil pan in place, and got the upper oil pan to move (looks free and wiggles free) but it won't come out any one know why ? Thanks in advance

I guess you already know, but for others: You have to drop trans, because the rear main seal is held by plate which bolts to block and upper oil pan.
