Sunroof Issue

We have a 2013 MB ML. The sunroof goes half way back and stops. Used to open the entire way. When I try to close it, it takes several tries. Any suggestions?

I’d check the tracks to make sure they aren’t full of crud and are lightly lubricated.

Possibly calibrate/reset the sunroof, plenty of YouTube information can be found

The sunroof runs on a plastic metal abomination. The plastic molded to the metal cracks and causes issues. No amount of lubing and cleaning will help it.

Unfortunately, to replace the sliders, requires headline to come out.

There is a video on youtube where some guy bought a 2nd hand track and slider to try and work out how to replace it without removing headliner. He also talks about the issue. I can't find it though.

Found the link:
