Brake Servo / Booster

Hi Folk's as anyone had to buy a new Brake servo / Booster for their ML, we recently took ours in for the recall on the Servo back in August 2023,which Mercedes did change but now it as failed, phoned Mercedes up regarding the fault and was told that we would have to pay £199.60 for them to carry out a Brake Diagnostic Check for them to confirm that it is faulty, and then i expect they will come up with another money spinning excuse to make our visit to their advantage?
So this is why i ask if anyone as changed the servo and where did they purchase it from,Mercedes Dealer from the United States show quite a few variants for the W164 around the £330.00 mark for my particular Model
Many Thank's Kevin

Pretty surprised by MB if they're not standing behind their repairs. It's fair they ask for the diagnosis fee as it might he something else (in their view at least), but if it turns out to be the booster they replaced, it should be a zero cost item for you.

You'd think with such an important part they'd be more worried about your safety and potential for a faulty product they've just replaced on probably thousands of cars.

FCP Euro have them $270 https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...des-2514300000

I'd call them first and give them your VIN to be sure. Try RockAuto and Pelican Parts as well.
