2008 ML350 W164 Brake Pedal to brake booster diagram

I have been hearing a metal on metal click once in a while coming from the front driver side wheel.
Two mechanic shops checked everything relared to the brakes, pads, calipar, brake fluid, and suspension system and came up with nothing, everything checked ok.

My thoughts that the brake pedal connection to the brake booster is loose some where and is causing this clink once in a while, a diagram of the rbake pedal connecting with the BB can be helpful, any suggestions are also welcome.

I took my car to a third mechanic shop, surprised to see that most of the rubber on the upper and lower control arms and sway bar bushings iare worn and torn and two mechanic shops could'nt see that ??!! Anyways, I replaced both upper and lower control arms on the front side left and right and the sway bar bushings. Will let you know if this made that noise go away or not. I am in the middle of a camshaft adjuster replacement which is taking longer than expected, tensioner bolt and one of the cam cover bolts stripped, Taking a dep breath and going back at it.

Also, this is a picture of the FLex Wheel, if someone can tell if it needs replacement, the shop says it's not urgent but needss to eb cahnged.
