P0128 Code

I recently purchased a 2011 ML350 with 38000 miles on it. Mechanic checked it out and it had the P0128 code. I did some research and went ahead with the purchase. I now wanted to get the code addressed and in the past. I just replaced the battery. According to my cars gauge, my coolant temp is 95C give or take a few degrees when warmed up. I assume that means it is not the thermostat. What should I look at next? Thanks for the help.

Is the check engine light on? or was it a stored code?

It could be because of low coolant level, bad thermostat, or an issue with the coolant temperature sensor, clogged radiator....

needs to be properly diagnosed

check engine light is on. It was a stored code and then popped up a day ago.as CEL. I was aware of the problem and had read that it's either the thermostat, the coolant temp sensor or the battery. Battery was low on CCA and voltage and was replaced.

By looking at the temps, it appears that the thermostat is working. Am I mistaken in that? Will one of the iCarsoft MB ODB scanners identify which part of the system is the problem?
