When to replace shocks, front or rear 2011 ML350

My 2011 ML350 is still on its original shocks, the SUV has 77,000 on it. No mechanic has ever mentioned they need to be replaced. On my 2006 E90 325i, with 102,000 miles, I recently got front and rear shocks (original ones since 2006) replaced because I just happened to notice the bump stops were disintegrated while repairing something else on that car.
The ride still seems fine to me no excessive bouncing when going over dips or.bumps.

if there's no noise, bumpy rides, or nose dives when braking, you are fine. You can also check for leaks.

the easy way to test is to to do a bounce test.

Mine is a 2010 at 169k with original shocks. Asked my mechanic and he agrees with what was said above: no problems, dont fix it.
