My 2010 ML 350 just suddenly decided to start making an SOS call every time I start it, then it gives up after a few minutes. I checked the SOS button on the roof and it does not seem to do anything other than flash when the SOS is going off. The dash displays the SOS and I can just page away from that. Only the first time has the radio locked itself onto the SOS screen. I do not know enough about this system to look any further into it. Are there impact sensors somewhere?

Any ideas what that is about or even how to disable the system that does not work anyhow?

Like how frequent has this happened? Happened once to me this summer and then went away.

 

Just started today, every time I start the car and lasts for about 5 minutes.

 

Give a day or two. It's a glitch that most likely will go away.

 

Got a scanner? Can you talk to the car to find out why it's pissed off?

 

I do, can't get to it until tomorrow and a few hours driving first.
