ML320 BT 156000 EGR code
2009 ML320 BT with 101,000 milees.
Monday, CEL came on, and it suddenly went into Limp mode... like 20mph, just made it home.
Ran a diagnostic with my Autel Maxicom.
156000 EGR code "Thee negative Deviation of EGR control is too high.
Erased the codes, it came straight back.
Pulled the EGR valve off, and examined it...
Valve was a touch sooty, but no lumps.
Pipe was clear.
Removed the plastic cover from the valve and the actuating mechanism is smooth, valve opens and closes fine.
Cleaned teh valve and chamber with brake clean then did an ultrasonic clean.
Everything looks like new..
Any thoughts, or knowledge?
