Audio system upgrade
Hello, I have 2010 ML with standard audio system. Music is important for me and I heard that Harman kardons are much better than standard ones. Has anyone upgraded audio system to HK? As I saw on internet,Amplifiers look the same if I am not wrong. Is HK's amplifier different from standard? Other than that I think changing speakers and adding subwoofer will be easy.I will take advice from you guys, if anyone has done it!

I am actually impressed with my W164 2010 audio. 16 years and 164K miles sitting outside and it sounds perfect (I do play music load)
But, it is not up to my 2014 E350 Coupe's HK system but the difference is in no way worth spending serious coin to update (IMO)
The most I would do is research the speakers to see if updating them would make the difference worth the effort.
If you are talking thousands sell it and get a W166 with the standard HK audio
I had a 2010 Hyundai Veracruz (Their we want to be like Lexus SUV)
The speakers were all rotted out and the nav display failed, just a huge difference in quality of components
