New to me ML350 - Tumble Flap issues
Recently bought a 09 ML350. Having re-occurring P2004 codes for the tumble flaps. Upon inspection, I can see a previous owner has already replaced the linkage with metal parts and none of it is broken.
However, sticking a screw driver down there and attempting to move things manually, there is a lot of resistance. Is this a for sure sign of gummed up runners, or is there anything else I can check that could cause such an issue?
And, I've read some people have had luck running a carb cleaner or a product like SeaFoam through the intake which helped loosen things up without removing the manifold or replacing it - what's the consensus on this?

My mechanic has always listed it as a "to do" item for years so I was curious as to what needs to be replaced and how much it will cost.
