No power to rear fuse box - My fault

First of all...UGHHH!!! I did this to myself. Diagnosing a rear tailgate issue and accidentally let the power connection lug on the rear fuse box touch the body and must have popped a fuse which is at the battery area under the passenger seat. Unfortunately, this also powers the rear SAM which powers the front seats...meaning I can't adjust the passenger seat up high to access the battery area and replace the fuse. I don't think I can access all of the seat mounting bolts, either, without being able to move the seat back and forth.

Any thoughts?

It's not uncommon for cars to have a hex socket on the front of the seat somewhere to wind the motor for this very reason. Whether the ML does or not I don't know but it might be covered in the handbook.

It's a time consuming process but made quicker using a 1/4" or 6mm hex bit in a cordless drill.

I was able to apply power to the rear fuse box, which then enabled me to move the front passenger seat out of the way and gain access to the pre-fuse box in the battery compartment.

Opened the back side of the pre-fuse box to get to (what look like) MIDI fuses and, sure enough, the 100A fuse feeding the rear fuse box showed no continuity on my meter, i.e. it is blown.

New fuse will be here tomorrow, should be OK after that.
