Fob / remote / Key doesn't lock or unlock car but starts car
just wanted to contribute 2009 ml350
this works for me. hasn't happened in a while.
I sit in car and close door.
put key / fob / remote in position #2 (the position before the car starts)
press the unlock button around 4 to 6 times i haven't counted (if this doesn't work i press lock and unlock back in forth a few time on the second attempt)
turn the key to position 0
remove key and test

Good Catch,
I did replace batteries prior and still did not work. I look it up on the net and couldn't find any fixes. I tried the above and it worked. so if anyone else has this issue it is something they can try. All i can say it worked for me twice. Last time was about 7 months ago.
