Does the gas engine turn off when at a stop? Does this car have this effciency feature?

From the Euro press release, "The re-engineered 7G-TRONIC PLUS, standard on all M-Class models, boasts an integrated ECO start/stop function, lower converter slip and optimised efficiency."

However, there is no mention of it in the US marketing material and no sign of it on my test drive.
