deleted the amber parking light and put in a white-blue bulb to match the led drl's at night. just waiting for a capacitory and the HID kit goes in next week. Currently it was triggering the computer in the car and registering as a burnt bulb.

Hope that parking lamp is not as hard to reach as the one in the W164 - those are a bit**.

Actually pretty easy to get to through the wheel well. There's a door to get to it. The mod required pulling out the base of the bulb, notching out the plug cover and securing it behind the headlamp unit.
In audi's this light can be programmed off with a vag tool.
Since a newbie to MBZ mods I don't know if there is another way.
Greg shouldn't have to worry about this particular mod since he's getting xenons. Who knows how the US xenons will be configured when they finally show up.

Are you getting MB rims or aftermarket?
Dealer here said they were about 2gs for MB winter rims 19 inch as MB wont use steel rims for winter tires on this heavy a vehicle.

I found some after market for a grand.

You're right. I got them and tried for 4 hrs couldn't do it, no way my hand can get to the tail of bulbs. Gave up.

Did you look at the manual? There's a door in the wheel well just behind the headlights. Totaly easy to get to. Have to remove a single pressed in tab to slide the door up and out.

These are aftermarket AMG knockoffs. My friend had them on his old ml and sold them to me for $100. They are a special hyper silver color. Almost looks chrome but not as cheesy.
