So that vibration when you hit the brakes is normal? I'm going in for my first scheduled maintenance and having them check pads and probably change them as I've had to hit the brakes harddddd from well over 100mph down to a non speeding ticket range and the fact that pre safe doesn't like me driving like a maniac and thinks I'm going crash every 5 minutes lol. But that's normal?

I've only had this ML (my first) for 6 months, so hard to say what normal is. It definitely isn't a vibration, though. (Would think vibrations would not be normal.)

Basically, I find the braking inconsistent. I often have to brake harder to from 5mph to zero than expected - which is to say I thought I was braking hard enough to evenly come to a stop without additional last second pressure. I'm used to driving big SUVs, so I don't think it's just me misjudging how hard to brake.

Question to the group... dougiebear mentioned that the 2102 Bluetec has different rotors. Anyone know why? Larger for a heavier vehicle? Just wondering.

That is not normal. You may have pad material transfer to the rotors. My braking is totally smooth and consistent.
