Hello, we have had some rather serious issues with the 2012 ML350 4Matic. It essentially starts kicking violently in traffic or when it downshifts sometimes. We have taken the 2012 ML350 4Matic to the dealership 3 times now and they keep saying they cant reproduce the issue. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

Occasionally, when I'm pulling to a stop at a traffic light or coming to a stop in traffic, I feel a sudden jerk as if someone has bumped into my vehicle from the rear. Nothing more than that.

The W164's had this issue and it was mostly caused by the 7G transmission selecting first gear just before the vehicle came to a stop, resulting in a "just got rear ended feeling" The fix was a valve body replacement and a software upgrade to engage first gear about .75 of a second after wheel speed reads zero.
The 2012's have a 7G "plus" transmission which was designed to eliminate this and other issues. Very surprised that it's showing its head again.
Definitely stay on your dealer about this, even try other dealers.
