Pretty sure I read people were putting their key fobs in the cup holders - and then the keys getting burned.

No; the issue with the cupholders is that they interfere with the KEYLESS-GO signal. Thus you can still order the climate controlled cupholders (special order), but not in conjunction with KEYLESS-GO.

Ahhh....got it. Damn, was about to change our build but to me, the Keyless-Go would be more of helpful option on a daily basis.
